Hello for the past two weeks at Digital tech we have been focusing on making some LED light bars we had to get one big piece of wood about five to six centre meters with a tiny blue marking on it we also had to get two small pieces of wood with red markings on it and also two little ones with blue markings on it we then had to paint some glue to -0
.
I am a student at in Uru Mānuka. In 2020 I was a year 9 and in 2021 I will be a year 10. This is a place where I will be able to share my learning with you. Tane Mahuta
Today at Tane Mahuta we done the same thing as last week accept we planted different varieties of plants we planted water melon seeds,carrots,corn seeds and sun flower seeds we had to dig some trenches up to plant them, it sure did take a lot of muscles to do the job but we stuck in and got it done I did have fun but not as much fun as I had last week I'm looking forward to doing some more next week and I also can't wait to see the plants grow.

My hero
Richie Mo'unga is a half Tongan and Samoan rugby player born on 25 may 1994 he made his first debut on the 27 of February 2016 with the chiefs. I look up to Richie Mo'unga because he plays for the all blacks plus he is a good kicker he just sets a good example for people to keep chasing your dreams he is a loyal person because he doesn't just play for the money he plays for the jersey and he reps our little island. one day i hope i will make to the all blacks but i will keep trying again and again to do my best to be just like Richie Mo'unga and i will keep trying to follow my dream and to have a clear mindset.

Hypothesis: Bananas, white stylophone, paper, and bread. I think the bread will decompose the fastest.

Science laboratory introduction

- Test tube- They are used for most experiments to hold liquids. They have a bung that goes on top.
- Conical flask- used for experiments with liquids upto 150ml. The flask has a rubber bung for the top and the glass is heat proof.
- Glass stirring rod- A 20cm glass rod used to stir and mix any liquids together.
- Test tube tongs- These are used to hold a hot test tube after an experiment.
- Spatula- For holding very small amounts of chemical powders.
- Measuring Cylinder- this is used to measure liquids for an experiment. The liquids will be poured into a beaker or test tube once measured out.

Solar energy
Aim: To learn about how solar energy is used.
Hypothesis. I think that black will attract the most heat.
Materials:
- 3 cups black, white and clear
- Thermal.
- Paper, Tinfoil, and black paper.
Steps:
- Get the materials.
- Put tinfoil around the clear cup.
- Put the tinfoil cup on tinfoil.
- Put black stuff around the black cup.
- Put the black cup on black paper.
- Put the white cup on white paper.
- Put a light in front of all the cups.
- Check the temperature every 15 minutes.
Findings:
That I was right, black attracts the most heat.

MATERIALS
- Plastic lid x4.
- Tape.
- Scheuer.
- Pencil.
- Pin.
STEPS
- Tape to plastic lids onto a Scheuer.
- Do the same as number 1.
- Tape the Scheuer's together like a cross.
- Put a pin through the middle of the tape in the middle.
- Stick the pin through the pencil eraser.

- Mount the anemometer in a place that has full access to the wind from all directions.
- When the timekeeper says "Go", the counter in each group will count how many times the marked cup passes them in one minute and write it down.

CONCLUSION:
The tennis court gate had 0 spins, the field had 1 spin and the old j block site and grass hill quad had 0 amounts of spins I don't think any of these places were gonna get any spins apart from the field because it wasn't as windy and as wide as the field. When we got to those places we had to time 15 sec then once we get to 0sec we move on to the next location, we asked what other people got they said they got 0 spins for most of theirs so not everyone had the same amount of spins.
CIP tane mahuta
Hello today in CIP Tane Mahuta we went to the back garden and dug up some holes to plant some patatoes and sunflower seeds I really enjoyed doing it and it does use up a lot of my energy i did get tired but I kept trying hard to carry on I'm glad I am a part of the CIP Tane Mahuta group because we plant vegetables and lots more things that go to good uses so I feel pretty good cos I can be like I'm proud of myself because I helped plant those plants ect ect.

Water cycle experiment
Today in science we were learning about the Water cycle and climate change.
Condensation,water vapour,transpiration,evaporation and precipitation these are all things that are included in the water cycle. The water cycle describes how water evaporates from the surface of the earth, rises into the atmosphere, cools and condenses into rain or snow in clouds, and falls again to the surface as precipitation. ... The cycling of water in and out of the atmosphere is a significant aspect of the weather patterns on Earth.
Today in science we were learning about the water cycle and doing some experiments we had to talk about this topic because the water cycle is getting destroyed due to deforestation, deforestation is when people cut down trees for a specific reason and don't replant it this destroys the way the water cycle works because when it rains the trees take in all the rain fall than the clouds evaporate it but when there are no trees to in take the water it just sits there which goes off as surface runoff so yeah that's how deforestation is affecting the water cycle.
We had draw a diagram of the water cycle using a vivid n an A4 zip lock bag then we had to pour some water into the A4 zip lock bag then put two drips of blue food colouring and seal it tight and tape it against a window and leave it there and you will soon see the water in the bag evaporating.
Conclusion
A week later i took a look at the A4 Zip lock bag and i could see the water evaporating and i also learnt some new facts about the water cycle and i really enjoyed doing the experiment.
Here is some other work that we done about the water cycle. We were given 10 shapes that had words in it that are about the water cycle. We had to put them together but it had to connect with the one it's connected to are you will have to change it around. The 10 words on the shapes were Evaporation, Condensation, Transpiration, Water cycle, Water vapour, Precipitation, Acid rain, Carbon Dioxide, Climate change, and Hurricanes. We had to connect all those on a piece of yellow paper and when we were finished we had to write on the paper why they connect together. Here is a picture of the paper me and my group made

Emotions
Hello today in Hurumanu drama we were set on ask to watch a video on a slide shared with us we had to describe three different emotions we could see during the video. The video we had to watch was the classic comedy TV series Mr Bean.
So what expressions did he show ?
Three different expressions i noticed when i was watching the video is his face expressions on some parts of the video he would have a smile on his face or he would just look relaxed. He would put a look on his face like what where is it so he looked confused sometimes. What i noticed about his body language is he was really fidgety and silly he seemed to be moving around a lot during the video so he was pretty active. He didn't really use any gestures so i cant really talk about that.
